This hybrid coating combines Polyphenylene Sulfide and Polytetrafluoroethylene to improve high-performance qualities.
PPS coatings are used where chemical or abrasion resistance is required. Combined with PTFE, PPS produces coated substrates with low coefficient of friction and good wear resistance.
Using these two polymers, Precision Coating has developed a customized hybrid coating called CRC 2000.
Precision Coating makes CRC Coatings available to customers who want to apply the coatings themselves at their own site and are offered in several performance levels.
CRC 2000 is used in applications such as wire and thread guides, molds, housings, driers, valves, stirrers, gears and reactor linings.
Key Characteristics of PPS / PTFE
- Chemical Resistance
- Non-Porous (unlike PTFE alone)
- Added hardness of PPS
- Low Coefficient of Friction
- Corrosion, wear & impact resistance
- Superior UV resistance
