ETFE / ECTFE (Ethylene, Tetrafluoroethlene / Ethylene Chlorotrifluoroethylene) are fluorocarbon-based polymers. They have excellent chemical resistance and durability; can be applied in thick films (0.020”++); and have good dielectric strength (1500V/mil).
Often specified for use on vessels and tanks containing very aggressive solvents, or on a surface that is attacked by some type of chemistry, these coatings are generally used in applications which do not require characteristics such as low coefficient of friction or an application requiring a thin-film coating.
