Precision Coating to Showcase PTFE Medical Device Coatings at MD&M East 2007
April 09, 2007
Precision Coating Co. Inc. will be highlighting its PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) medical device coating systems at MD&M East 2007, Jacob Javits Convention Center, New York, June 12-14. Visitors to booth #2475 will learn about the reformulation of aqueous-based PTFE coating systems and the alternatives readily available to medical device companies. “Reformulation of all aqueous-based PTFE coatings over the last year has caused a lot of confusion and turmoil in the industry,” says Bob DeAngelis, President, Precision Coating Co., Inc. “While the PTFE manufacturers work to solve the issue, Precision Coating is moving forward providing an alternative coating system today that is and always has been PFOA-free. We are using this alternative coating system in medical device guide wires today.”
The Precision Coating team will be on hand at MD&M East Show to provide samples and guidance on how to select an appropriate flouropolymer coating system for medical devices. This will be Precision Coating’s first time exhibiting at MD&M East.
